This is a Superb Pair of Antique Josef Hoffmann Barrel Chairs from the early 1900’s.
These are rare chairs that are with the original finish with an overcoat.
The color of the two chairs is great and also the form of the feet is very rare. (See Pictures)
The chairs look like they are pinned all around.
The two cushions have been recovered with a top quality black hand-rubbed leather filled with cotton and hair.(Not Cheap Foam)
We use a very high-quality leather from Germany and if you compare our seats to the other dealers you will see the difference. We try and make the furniture as time period correct as we can and also we make the seats very comfortable. The cushions are sitting on top of handmade rattan seats that were crafted in the same time period as the chairs. These are not some cheap Chinese machine made rattan seats that you see in new chairs today or in replaced seats in older chairs. These chairs are sturdy and strong and ready to be used and enjoyed in your home or business.
