This is a fantastic antique oversize antique persian serapi persian rug from the late 1800’s in great condition, mostly even low pile with few spots with professionally replied(please see images).

Most persian serapi in this age are worn out but this as can be seen on many pictures in good shape, great weave and strong like a rock.

The colors are particularly good on this rug with large central medallion design. the rug is complete with no missing rows, no smell or stain come from smoke free estate and took pictures of all around the rug.

The rug is over 9×12 feet and consider oversize and hard to find, this is one of the best Serapi we have even seen, especially the great colors.

9 feet 7 inch by 14 feet 11 inch

Please note:
We sell antique oriental rugs from estate in rural PA, some rug dealers in large city like NY resale our rugs at much higher prices due to high rent.
You can get the same rugs for less by buying direct from us or other rural rug dealers.
Moreover, you need to be careful when buying antique rugs.
We see dealers in NY lie about their rugs by pretending that the rugs they selling are antique even though their rugs are new.
These dealers Chemically wash their rugs with lead which make the rug looks old “antique”… these rug are not valuable as real antique persian rugs.
Worse, the lead used in the wash is unhealthy to breathe, especially for small children. if you purchased these chemically washed rug, they smell like gasoline
and do not smell like pure wool.

Few lows are missing to the ends and we can send it out to reweave it in Iran for a fee
