This is a superb antique Roycroft bridal chest from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.
The piece is made of superb quarter sawn oak with an excellent original finish.
It has excellent form with a wide, overhanging lid and two keyed through tenons on the sides.
There is excellent original iron hardware all over including strap hinges on the top and what looks like the original chain.
The chest is extremely thick and heavy with 1.25″ posts and is very sturdy and strong.
The piece is signed with a carved orb and is extremely decorative and collectible.
