This is a superb rare antique watercolor portrait on paper by Adelaide Alsop Robineau from 1888.
Robineau (1865 – 1926) was a world famous and award winning ceramic artist and painter from Syracuse, NY.
She was influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement and contributed to it through pottery.
This portrait by Robineau has Sarah Alsop as its subject and was painted in 1888.
The piece has no damage and has a very attractive old frame.
The piece has excellent earth tones and shows excellent artistry.
