This is a rare antique Plail Brothers barrel back armchair from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.
The piece has a rare and desirable barrel form with slats all around.
It is made of good quarter sawn oak with an original finish that has minor wear.
The original spring seat has been retied and reupholstered with high quality, hand rubbed leather and nice tacks.
The piece has some minor rough edges but is a very good example of the form.
