Description

This is a good antique umbrella stand by Michigan Chair Co. from the early 1900’s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.

The piece is made of superb quarter sawn oak with an excellent original finish.

It is made of very thick boards and the piece is very heavy and sturdy.

There is a metal insert in the bottom and there are 10 umbrella sections.

The posts have a great Art Nouveau style and feature heavily carved flowers.

One small piece of carving is chipped away at the bottom as pictured.

The stand is signed with a paper label and is high quality and extremely decorative.
