This is a superb antique Hagert wrought iron wall sconce from the early 1900?s Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.
The piece is made of thick hand wrought iron with a hammered texture in some areas. There is particularly fine workmanship in the fixture area where many rivets hold together the wrought iron.
The piece is very thick and heavy and has attractive flowing lines. The shade is leaded caramel slag glass and the socket appears to be original with typical wear to the paper surround. The piece is wired and ready to use and is extremely decorative. It is signed and dated as pictured. We do have another sconce that is an exact match to this one if you would like a pair.
