This is a good antique early Gustav Stickley V-Back armchair from the early 1900's Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.
The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak with a good original finish with great dark reddish-brown color.
The chair has excellent form with a V-shaped crestrail and slats underneath.
The arms are shaped and have pinned through tenons as well as pinned corbels.
The seat has been recovered with rust colored leather.
The chair has early, bulky form and is signed with a large red decal as pictured.
It is model #2598 and is very decorative and collectible.
