Globe Wernicke Barrister Bookcase W1846

Description

This is a good antique Globe Wernicke barrister bookcase from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.

The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak with a good original finish.

It has original brass knobs and the interior hardware is complete and the doors work easily.

The piece is signed and there is an attractive footed base.

The squared top gives the bookcase more of a Mission look than most.

The bottom section has a darker interior than the others as you can see in the pictures.

The section heights are 9″, 9″, 11″, 13″, and 13″.

The bottom 2 sections are unusually tall.
