This is a nice antique Barber Brothers footstool from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.
The piece is made of quarter sawn oak with an original dark finish.
It has nice form with a distinctive x motif typical of Barber Brothers’ work.
It has its original leather upholstery and tacks and the leather has a tear as you can see.
The leather can be replaced or it could likely be repaired and used as is.
The piece is sturdy and strong and does have a minor nick at the top of one post.
It is marked with a paper label and is very well made.
