This is a nice antique Cushman log holder from the early 1900s Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.
The piece is made of oak with a nice original finish.
The log holder has excellent form with great slats on the sides and excellent circular cutouts.
The joints are secured with original metal bolts (the original paper label describes this).
Two ends have cloud-lift like cutouts and there is hammered brass strap hardware as pictured.
The piece has a couple rough edges from normal use but is in remarkable good condition for a log holder.
It is sturdy and strong and has very decorative and usable.
