Art Deco Peking Chinese RR112
This is a superb and stunning antique art deco peking chinese oriental rug from the mid-1800’s in good condition for its age.
The rug is a very rare palace size with a fantastic and impressive dragon design.
The border is excellent and the color scheme is very desirable.
Half of the rug is in excellent condition with mostly even-high pile.
The other half has significant wear with a hole, low areas, and spots of repiling.
The wear is particularly concentrated in one corner as pictured.
The rug could be restored to its original grandeur and is still a highly valuable and usable collector’s piece in its current condition.
