This is a set of 5 GUSTAV STICKLEY chairs from the early 1907 Mission / Arts & Crafts period.
They are in very good condition with sharp edges.
The chairs are made of quarter sawn oak, and has the original finish with not a drop of overcoat
The hand spun black leather is new and in good condition.
The finish is original and the cotton webbing under seat is not over a piece of plywood as you see around.
This a quality, early chairs which continues to be STURDY and STRONG and ready to use in your home.
We guarantee the chair is in good condition.
We always make sure any chair seat is over cotton webbing as Gustav Stickley built in the early 1900s, many sellers use a piece of plywood but we do not.
We do have other set of chairs of the same Gus Stickley model as this set with some nicks and wear to the original finish for lower price.
In the 1930s Heywood Wakefield produced sets of chairs in Gustav Stickley’s design, we see them around in public auctions and presented as GUS STICKLEY.
