Antique Serab Hand-Knotted Oriental Runner Rug. RR3492
This is an Antique Serab Hand-knotted Oriental Runner Rug from the 19th century.
This is a great looking rug that has an excellent 100% wool camel hair pile.
The foundation is also wool as all serab rugs from the 19th century are.
The pile is even and the two sides are in perfect shape with nothing missing and the rug is with some wear to the one side and two small patches. (See Pictures)
The one patch is 1 inch by 3 inches and the other is 1 inch by 1 inch.
Both the wear and the patches are hard to see when the rug is laying on the floor.
This is not a heavy pile low-end rug like you see, this is a quality 19th-century antique rug!
This rug has a fine weave and it is a very decorated rug that you just don’t see around too often! We shampoo all of our rugs and we do it the same way for the cheap ones as we do the expensive ones. We do not include these cost in the price, but sometimes the buyer thinks the rugs are not clean. Most dealers that sell rugs will tell you to have it cleaned when you receive it, but we clean our rugs before they are shipped. If you think that the rug smells or needs to be cleaned when you receive it you will need to send it to a rug cleaner in your area.
We are the first rug seller online when the internet came around and we DO NOT sell to wholesalers in the city’s who will mark the rugs up. We buy rugs at estates all over the east coast and then sell them directly to you so that you can have a quality rug at a fantastic price!
