This is a superb antique decorated, grain painted dry sink from the early to mid 1800’s in very good condition.
The piece is extremely well made and features a dovetailed gallery and dovetailed drawers.
The original iron hook and clasp are present on one door.
The pulls have been replaced some time in the past with porcelain knobs.
The drawer faces overlap center divider, a sign of early craftsmanship.
The piece features fantastic American Folk Art grain painting in a bold and dramatic flame color scheme.
There are excellent feathered designs all over and the paint is nearly all intact except for typical nicks and scratches as you can see in the pictures.
There are great turned feet and the piece is sturdy and strong despite a minor stress crack or two, typical of these pieces.
This is a superb and decorative piece that is highly collectible.
