This is an antique, rare Paine Furniture Company, from Boston, MA, settle. We believe this is better than L&G Stickley construction, with real through tenon construction on each arm. L&G Stickley copied their design from them, as Paine Furniture made the original design. It is marked with tag from the early 1900’s. It is an original design with a great selection of oak. All slats are wide and heavy, which adds to the aesthetic and makes it look very beautiful. Please not that Gustav Stickley used to work with the Paine Furniture Company in Boston. We have sold in the past a Gustav Stickley wardrobe that sold in Boston, and you can see that under Previously Sold Items on our website. We do have the seat that goes with this settle, but we do not have it in the shop. We will post pictures of the settle with a covered seat when we have it. Over the years, we have not seen many of this model around. Whenever we get one of these in, we sell it very quickly. Model # 47/718.3/4
