This chest is MARKED with a large red Gustav Stickley decal, CIRCA 1902-1903, on the back of the gallery.
This is one of the BEST of this model that we have acquired in 40+ YEARS in business. Most times it is found with damage or a wobble. This one is considered PRISTINE in the world of antiques.
The chest was constructed from a beautiful selection of quartersawn oak.
It has has no replaced or repaired parts.
The construction is tight all around, with no movement.
All drawers open and close easily. There is no wear to the rails.
The chest features the 1902 large wooden pulls and original gallery on the top.
As all 1902 Gustav Stickley chests, it has chamfered boards at the sides and back. There is no veneer.
On the front, there is a double through tenon and pinned construction on the top and bottom.
On the back, there is a double through tenon and pinned construction on the top and bottom.
On the two sides, there is a double through tenon and pinned construction on the top and bottom.
For the top gallery, there is a single through tenon and pinned construction.
