This is Superb early and rare Gustav Stickley Morris chair Mission Arts and Crafts period from early 1900’s in very good condition.
The chair is model #2342 and made of fantastic quarter sawn oak with original finish and marked with an early decal.
The chair has excellent construction and is extremely thick and bulky.
The long arms have pinned through tenons at the front and back and supported by pinned corbels at the front and back. The back is pinned at joints.
The chair come with the original cane foundation which is in good condition (in the last three years we sold half a dozen of the same model but this the only example with original cane foundation).
The chair adjustable back support and pegs are all original.
The original back seat and the seat have been professionally recovered with top quality black hand rubbed leather with cotton and hair fill (no cheap foam).
This is a beautiful and desirable form in great condition with no breaks or replace parts and its highly collectable.
