Persian Senne Killim RR941

This is an antique persian senne killim oriental rug from the 19th century in fair condition.

The rug has 100% wool pile that is even-high throughout.

The sides are complete and one end is missing some rows.

The ends have been secured by overcasting to prevent further losses.

As you can see in the pictures, the rug has several areas that are thin or stretched.

Because of this, the rug is best used as a wall hanging.

It has a great design and has excellent colors using natural dyes.

The rug could be restored but the cost may be prohibitive.

This is a very decorative rug that is still usable especially as a wall hanging.

Colors:
Navy background with gold border and ivory, salmon, brown, teal.
